My Biggest Lesson of 2020
2020 was hard.
Need I say more?
Directly or indirectly, we have all been impacted.
Through it all, I cannot neglect the fact that 2020 has also brought some amazing blessings in various areas of my life.
For the last two years, I had been in a season of pause and waiting.
It was the perfect time to re-focus and work towards what I desired both personally and professionally.
Things finally fell into place!
I gained clarity on the direction I want to take She Leads Beautifully™. This has allowed me to operate in my zone of genius which is helping women in stalled careers gain access to their dream jobs. I also organically continued the growth of my free Facebook to over 500 women!
I successfully passed my dissertation proposal defense. It has been years in the making, but I am finally gaining traction towards being "Ph.inishe.D".
I made a career pivot and landed my dream role as Assistant Professor, Career Development at National Louis University in Chicago! I am so grateful to work at an institution where I share the same values such as passion, excellence, collaboration, and access.
My biggest win of 2020 was having my rainbow baby girl who my husband and I fittingly named Ogechukwu (God's Time).
The #1 lesson I learned this year:
Everything won't happen exactly when you want it to, but when you have faith, keep your eyes on the prize, and stay the course—even if you have to pause, pivot, or exercise patience along the way—you will see your vision come to fruition!
